Having an installed instant hot/cold water dispenser is all about convenience. But with any hard working appliance, problems are bound to arise eventually. Rather than panicking when you discover a covered problem with your water dispenser, you can simply place a service request online or call American Home Shield.

American Home Shield will pay up to $2,000 per covered appliance ($4,000 with the ShieldPlatinum plan) for access, diagnosis, and repair/ replacement per the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement.

Yes, our ShieldGold™ and ShieldPlatinum™ plans cover the parts and components of installed instant hot/cold water dispensers.

We cover all parts and components of installed instant hot/cold water dispensers. The ShieldGold plan covers up to $2,000 for each covered appliance. The ShieldPlatinum plan covers up to $4,000 for each covered appliance. And if we can’t repair the covered item, we’ll replace it subject to the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement. No, we do not cover any freestanding and countertop instant hot/cold water dispensers. We only cover all components and parts of installed instant hot/cold water dispensers that are connected to water lines. 

If we can’t repair your covered installed instant hot/cold water dispenser, we’ll replace it subject to the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement and remove the defective item.
