Roof Leak Repair warranty coverage details

Covered:
We will provide coverage for the repair of nonstructural roof leaks
Not Covered:
Leaks caused by or associated with items penetrating the roof (such as skylights, chimneys and vents)
Leaks caused by or associated with roof mounted installations such as solar panels, gutters and downspouts
Mobile homes
Metal roofs
Partial full or green (eco) roofs
Condo or townhouse roofs

Roof Leak Repair FAQs

Roof leak repair coverage is included in our ShieldPlatinum plan, but can be added to the ShieldGold or ShieldSilver plans within the first 60 days of your membership.

Roof leak repair coverage covers the repair of non-structural roof leaks. Please see the plan agreement for full coverage details, including limitations and exclusions.

No. However, if a roof leak is covered, American Home Shield will repair it subject to your plan’s limitations and exclusions. 

No. Condos, townhomes, mobile homes, and properties with shared roofs are not eligible for roof leak repair coverage since we aren't able to verify that the roof leak can be attributed to the specific property with the warranty.

You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign up for your plan. Service requests can easily be placed 24/7 online via MyAccount or by calling 1-888-691-2854 during standard business hours to request service.
