The Electronics Protection Plan provides coverage for failures due to normal use, power surge protection, and defects in workmanship and materials. The Electronics Protection Plan can be added to the ShieldSilver™, ShieldGold™, and ShieldPlatinum™ plans.

Yes, the plan covers electronics that you own when you purchase the plan as well as any you purchase while the plan is active. It doesn’t matter where or when you bought them.

No, all brands are covered. Please note that there are some requirements for items to be covered as follows: Windows computers must be using a Windows operating system currently supported by Microsoft, Android computers must be currently supported by the manufacturer’s warranty, Apple computers must be using an Apple operating system version currently supported by Apple, smart home devices must use a communication protocol enabled by Wi-fi, ZigBee, Z-Wave, Thread Group, or another approved networking solution. No, receipts are not required to file a claim.
All claims must be initiated with Allstate Protection Plans or by calling 1-877-320-1494. Your Trade Service Call Fee is due before a covered item can be repaired or replaced, and you will need to provide the make and model number of the item. In some cases, the item’s serial number may also be required.
You can purchase the Electronics Protection Plan when you purchase your American Home Shield® home warranty plan, within the first 60 days of your home warranty plan being active, or during the open renewal period.
The Electronics Protection Plan runs concurrently with your American Home Shield® home warranty plan. When your warranty plan expires annually, so does the Electronics Protection Plan.

It was 100 degrees and my AC went out. Called AHS but the contractor couldn't come until the next day. I rented a motel room for the night and as I was getting ready to leave, the contractor called and said he could be there that night if I still wanted him to!!! I was soooo happy. He fixed my AC and my house was back to normal that night. I would have gladly paid more than the $100 service call fee for this. Thank you AHS!

As part of our home warranty we were allowed to have several locks rekeyed. Since the previous owner left us one key to the front door and a bag of miscellaneous keys (that went with nothing) it was a huge help to have this done!

Great service for homeowners! If you have a ton of cash ready for any home system that may fail at any moment then you are good. If you are like the other 90% of homeowners who don't, then do yourself a favor and protect your investment with an AHS home warranty. Seriously, a new HVAC in California costs over $4K. I paid $100. A new stove last year was $400, but I paid $75. It's in my budget and I don't think twice. AHS always takes great care of me.
I just used AHS for the first time in February because my AC wasn’t working. It was the easiest process!!! The tech came out and had the AC up and running in under 45 minutes. My unit is not new and I’m amazed he was able to bring it back from the dead. But the best part? The ZERO dollar due invoice I received from the AC company!!!! Thank you AHS - I’ve got peace of mind regarding my home.

I wasn't sure if a home warranty would be a good investment. My next door neighbor has AHS and had their AC unit repaired without any issues and little out of pocket cost. With that I was sold. Since then, I've had 2 AC units repaired, an ice maker replaced, a garbage disposal replaced, and most recently a dryer repaired. All with no issues. Doing the math, having AHS is a great investment.

I used AHS for the first time and what an easy process. I booked a service appointment online, paid the $100 service fee, and the repairman fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. Our "trusted" AC tune up guys told us our unit was leaking refrigerant and needed a new coil unit. The AHS contractor saw that a bolt was loose and after he tightened it, his meter no longer detected a leak. Thank you for sending out honest repairmen!! I'm already a huge fan.

Placed my fourth service call in last 7 years and their service people are very reputable. The contractor explained to me what caused the microwave door to break and provided lots of good tips about safety, which is very important to this 80-year-old homeowner.
