Enjoy special savings, and let us handle covered home hassles.
American Home Shield is proud to support those who have served. That’s why we’ve built a home warranty program that gives military families something meaningful in return. Our home warranty military discount is more than a price break—it’s a way to protect your budget and safeguard your biggest investment—your home.
Every American hero deserves peace of mind. And often, that peace of mind begins at home—with the support of a home warranty.
Here are a few of the ways American Home Shield has been dedicated to supporting the military and military families:

American Home Shield is proud to offer military service members—including veterans, reservists, and those on active duty—a 20% home warranty military discount.* This special offer helps make homeownership less stressful for our heroes, ensuring that military members can spend more time with loved ones, on and off duty, without worrying about unexpected covered breakdowns and their associated costs.

As part of our commitment to military personnel, AHS partnered in a special initiative to give away three tiny homes to Project Sanctuary, a non-profit focused on helping military families. Our aim was to directly support veteran and military housing needs by providing, comfortable, and supportive environments for those who have served our country.

In 2025, American Home Shield teamed up with Lifetime Network’s Military Makeover hosted by Montel Williams to provide a home warranty giveaway for a Purple Heart veteran and his family. Our own AHS veteran associate are featured as the spokesperson in the execution of this event, sharing their experiences and showing support for this important initiative.
Be sure to tune in as these episodes air and celebrate the impact we’re making together!
Company-wide, our Veteran Associate Resource Group leads the way in raising awareness through military-focused events like Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day 5K walks, as well as supporting internal programs.
Company programs like our partnership with Service 2 Software empower prior service members by offering industry-specific training and learning opportunities, helping them successfully transition to civilian careers while fostering a culture of support and goodwill.
When it comes to protecting your home, many people think of homeowners insurance—but that only helps after unexpected events like fire, storms, or theft. A home warranty is different: it helps cover the repair or replacement costs when the key systems or appliances you rely on most break down from normal wear and tear. That’s why so many military families trust American Home Shield.
American Home Shield is proud to support our military families and be there for America’s heroes. We are honored to be ranked the top home warranty for Veterans and military families by This Old House blog. Read the full ranking here.
Our dedication to those who serve shows through our support of military housing initiatives, along with special benefits and discounts for service members.
We also launched a new feature: select plan members now have the option to video chat with a live repair Expert. This innovative feature through the AHS app allows our members to connect face-to-face with an experienced Expert in the skilled trades for real-time troubleshooting and advice from the palm of their hands.
We love to highlight the amazing talent within the American Home Shield family, and we are especially proud to spotlight our veteran Experts. These team members not only bring an average of over 20 years of skilled trades experience, but have also proudly served in the armed forces. They embody that dedication and expertise in every member interaction.
