Meet Gerret!

Say hello to Garret Bergstrom, an appliance Technician with 12 years of experience under his toolbelt. Garret brings technical aptitude skills and military experience to his work. Armed with his trusty multimeter, he has the attention to detail to get to the root of the problem on every repair. 

Garret learned his trade by working in the family-owned appliance repair business and now brings that same hands-on experience to helping AHS members through video call support. 

One of Garret’s favorite video calls was with a member who had a washing machine that was constantly draining. Garret had her reset the control and then test the washer. Luckily, that was the right fix and it started working normally. The best part about that call according to Garret was how she responded, jumping up and down and screaming with excitement. “Partly because her washer was working but also that SHE fixed it,” according to Garret. 

His best advice for DIY’ers? Give yourself time and grace. Some tasks are hard to tackle, but there’s no better feeling than fixing something yourself.

Outside of work, Garret enjoys focusing on homesteading and taking care of his off-grid property. He also likes to fish.
