Having a home warranty can be what makes or breaks your budget. Unlike homeowners insurance, our plans protect you from spending potentially thousands of dollars out-of-pocket to repair or replace commonly used systems and appliances in your home. And, when a breakdown occurs, all you have to do is place a service request and we will send a vetted contractor to your home to diagnose the issue. We provide our members with budget protection and peace of mind. 

Yes. Our trusted contractors will always discuss recommended next steps with you before making any moves. Whether it's a quick fix, the need to order specific parts, or a full replacement, our contractors will always discuss their diagnosis and recommendations with you before moving forward with any repairs or next steps. You can also feel free to reach out to our service department to make sure you understand your options. 

Also known as a diagnostic fee, this is the cost for a contractor to figure out what's wrong with your system or appliance, and is standard in any repair process. You will pay this fee ($75, $100 or $125) each time you place a service request, but you get to choose the amount when you purchase your home warranty plan. The higher your fee, the lower your monthly plan cost, giving you some control over how your coverage can best work for you. 

Even if it takes multiple trips to complete your repair, you still only pay the Trade Service Call Fee one time for that request. Our 30-day workmanship guarantee also ensures that you won't pay for a service again if the original fix fails within 30 days. We'll make it right at no additional cost. 

There is no fee for installing covered items or removing the old ones from your home. However, it is impotant to note that if the replacement cost exceeds your plan's coverage limit (ShieldSilver - no dollar limit on covered parts for systems, ShieldGold™ - no dollar limit on covered parts for systems/$3,000 per covered appliance, ShieldPlatinum™ -no dollar limit on covered parts for systems/$6,000 per covered appliance/$1,500 per contract term for roof leak repairs), you will be responsible for the remaining amount. 

There's no limit to service requests. You can request service online 24/7 and then pay your Trade Service Call Fee per service request. Our coverage includes parts and labor to fix your covered issue. If we can't repair the covered item, we will replace it for you at no additional charge. And if we replace an item for you, we will remove the old system or appliance at no additional charge.
