Based upon the information you provided to us on this service request, your contract appears to provide coverage for this item. Please be advised that there may be conditions precluding or limiting coverage under the terms, limitations, and exclusions of your contract, and that we may ultimately determine that coverage does not apply or is limited. Further investigation regarding the facts surrounding this claim could affect the available coverages and how they apply here. AHS will select an authorized service contractor for your service request, and you are required to authorize payment of your Trade Service Call Fee to AHS at the time you request service. Please review your contract for further clarification of your coverages. Coverage under the terms of your contract includes malfunctions due to normal wear and tear during the term of your contract and the covered items must be: 1. In good working order on the effective date of your contract unless your contract explicitly provides otherwise; and 2. Installed for diagnosis within the confines of the main foundation of the home or attached or detached garage (with the exception of the air conditions, exterior well pump, septic tank, and pool and/or spa equipment); and Domestic grade.

Credit Card or Debit Payment Authorization

By agreeing to the following terms and conditions, you are authorizing American Home Shield (AHS) to charge the credit card, debit card, or account number you provided (whether online, by telephone, or in any manner) to pay any and all fees associated with your home protection plan. By providing your card or account information to AHS, you accept these terms and conditions.

Additionally, if you elected to pay your contract fees in installments, you authorize AHS to automatically charge each installment payment (plus applicable sales tax) to your card or account without any further authorization from you. If you are making monthly installment payments, your payment method will automatically be billed each month on or about the calendar day corresponding to your initial payment. This authorization is in effect for an initial period of twelve (12) months from your initial payment and shall automatically renew for an additional twelve (12) months, unless you cancel (i) the home protection plan in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy; (ii) change and authorize a different payment method; or (iii) terminate this authorization. You may terminate this authorization by calling 800.776.4663. Terminating this authorization does not cancel the home protection plan or alleviate you of your contractual obligations. You remain responsible for all payments. To ensure continued and uninterrupted home service, you agree to advise AHS of any changes to your payment method, including but not limited to changes to your payment method account numbers, billing address and expiration date.

If you are authorizing card or account payments, you understand that authorization will remain in effect until you cancel it. You agree to notify AHS at 800.776.4663 of any changes in your account information or termination of this authorization at least 15 days prior to the next billing date. Billing date will be on or about the day of the month on which the contract began, unless you request a change to that date. In the case of a transaction being rejected for Non Sufficient Funds (NSF), you understand that AHS may in its discretion attempt to process the charge again within 30 days. You agree not to dispute any recurring AHS billing with your institution so long as the transactions correspond to your agreed payments to AHS.
