Since 1971, American Home Shield® (AHS) has protected homeowners’ budgets from the cost of unexpected breakdowns of home systems and appliances. When you request service under your AHS home warranty, we’ll send a contractor from our nationwide network of service professionals to diagnose your problem and repair or replace your covered appliance or home system.
Don’t feel like talking on the phone? You don’t even have to call to request service, check the status of a request, see what’s covered under your warranty or manage your payment information. Now, you can manage your account, contact customer service representatives, file a service request and more online. Here’s why you should activate your online AHS account, or MyAccount, today.
1. Request Service or Check the Status of a Request
Need service for an appliance or system breakdown at home? Requesting service is easy when you have online access to your AHS account. You can use your tablet, smartphone or laptop to quickly and easily request service and get your covered home system or appliance fixed ASAP.
Want to check the status of a request you’ve already put in? You can do that, too. Log on to your account to check the status of a previous request or to send a message to one of our customer service representatives. You don’t need to activate your American Home Shield login in order to request service online, but doing so will allow you to access a record of your service requests, ask questions about requested services and place a follow-up service request if a previously fixed issue crops up again.
2. See What’s Covered
AHS home warranties cover up to 21 home systems and appliances, and you can now add home electronics coverage through Asurion®. But we offer several different plans to meet our customers’ needs. Do you remember what’s covered under your warranty? Do you still have the contract paperwork?
Never mind – you don’t need them. When you have questions about your contract, your coverage, a recent service visit or maintenance services that we offer, such as the Pre-Season HVAC System Tune-Up, you can log in to your MyAccount to get the answers you need. Access and download your contract any time, so there’s never any question what you can expect from your home warranty service.
3. Update Your Contact Information
At AHS, we prioritize helping our customers make the most of their plans, but in order to serve you well, we need your current contact information. When your register for MyAccount online, you can easily add or update your email address, phone number, physical address, and mailing address, so we have the information we need to help you most effectively. Have multiple covered properties? You can manage them all under one AHS login.
4. Access Your Account from Anywhere
These days, there’s nothing you can’t do on your smartphone or other mobile device, and that includes checking the status of your home warranty service request, scheduling a service visit, or making payments. When you sign up for an online account with AHS, you’ll be able to take full advantage of all of the benefits of your home warranty account from anywhere in the world you have internet access.
5. Pay Bills and Manage Payment Information
One of the biggest conveniences of using a home warranty to handle unexpected home repairs is the low cost and ease of payment. Your coverage can help defray the costs of repairing or replacing expensive home systems and appliances.
When you sign up for an online AHS account, you can pay your monthly payments or other associated costs online. Manage your payment information and update or change it at your convenience. Once you’ve selected which covered items need service, entered your information and paid your bill, you can work with your assigned contractor to schedule your visit at a time that works for you both.
It’s never been easier to request service under your home warranty with American Home Shield®. Activate your online account today.
