Becoming a Contractor Requirements
To be a contractor for American Home Shield, you must be a licensed contractor for the trades
you service, carry a minimum of $500,000 in General Liability Insurance, at least $250,000 per
occurrence, and provide proof of Workman's Compensation Insurance or a waiver thereof (if
self-employed). In addition, you must have proof of auto insurance with limits of $250,000 per
person and $500,000 per occurrence.
